You know, there are many things that keep us on our toes all day. And work is one of the main things that makes us tick. If you want to make life easier, you choose tools that do the job. fugit is a tool too, but unlike many other pieces of software, it is unobstrusive, simple and sweet as.
Why fugit?
Because as a freelancer I need software that makes life easier. Which does not require reading manuals. Plus, I am working internationally and need a multi-currency, multi-client tool for generating invoices.
Time tracking
Of course the good old ticking clock. It will count the time up and let you know when you’ve been away for a bit too long. Then you can decide whether to keep the timer running or substract any idle time. And it has a rounding function to: If you decide to make every started 15, 30 or 60 minutes a full entry, then it does. You can decide even later to round up or not.
Invoicing & Timesheets
When you decide that a job is done, just click the invoice button. It will give you a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get view of the final invoice. One more click and you get a clean PDF. You can change and adjust invoices any time.
Any invoice can have numbering, comments, timesheets and special notes at the end. Not to forget standard- and custom-sizes for your PDF, from A4, Legal, US-letter to x by y.
Multi client, multi project, Multi Currency
You have clients. Great stuff. There is may be tree of clients which has its own language, taxes, currency or even hourly rate. There’s even rounding-up to 5 minutes or up to the hour.
Multi Language
Well, fugit comes in two flavours currently: English and German. (Currency however is independent of the language).
Semi-Custom Templates
It’s called semi for a reason. fugit provides you with 3 itinial invoice templates to choose from. You can change some things there, but only so many that it’s not becoming a job.
Manual Times, Item Quantities, Expense, Sconto
You do not need the timer all the time? Then add a price, a time or even a number of items instead. You can book expenses too or add a “-” which will give your client credit – and you too.
